Climate Change

GH Sustainability supports public, private, and development organisations in addressing climate change related to GHG mitigation and adaptation.  Our climate change services include the following:

Climate Finance and Investment Planning

Preparing sectoral implementation and investment planning for mitigation and adaptation actions that reflect countries’ National Determined Contributions (NDCs) and National Adaptation Plans (NAPs).  As well as preparing climate change projects for finance under the Green Climate Fund (GCF), Global Environment Facility (GEF), development partner programmes, and private sector.

National and Sectoral Mitigation and Adaptation Planning

Developing national level planning for GHG mitigation and adaptation actions across numerous sectors, including developing National Determined Contributions (NDCs), National Adaptation Plans (NAPs), Implementation Roadmaps, Low Emission Development Strategies (LEDS), and sector specific mitigation and adaptation scenarios.

Enhanced Transparency

Assisting national and local governments in designing and implementing Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV) systems for GHG mitigation and Monitoring & Evolution (M&E) system for adaptation.  This includes information and organisational systems as well as digital systems and training. All of which alignment to the Paris Agreement’s Enhanced Transparency Framework and the national and sectoral circumstances of different governments.

Emission Reductions and Carbon Credit Trading

Working with governments and the private sector in developing & implementing projects for reducing GHG emissions under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, assisting in the transaction process for trading carbon credits, and the preparation & implementation of monitoring programmes for generating high integrity carbon credits.

Organisational GHG Emissions & Reporting

Supporting private sector companies in accounting for their scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions, and implimenting technical solutions to reduce emissions where possible.
