Facilitating a joint UN approach to supporting NDCs in the Pacific

It was a pleasure to work with numerous UN agencies in the Pacific to review opportunities for a joint approach to supporting the enhancement and implementation of the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) of Pacific Island Countries (PICs) to combat climate change. PICs are some of the most vulnerable countries to sea level rise and adverse weather, and have made some of the most ambitious contributions to the Paris Agreement to reduce GHG emissions. This effort is facilitated by UNDP with active participation from the UN agencies in the Pacific region.
