Addressing greenhouse gas mitigation and climate finance on the front-line of climate change in Kiribati…

It was a real pleasure this week to start work with the Government of the Republic of Kiribati, on planning for GHG mitigation in the transport sector and through energy efficiency, as well as addressing related finance and support needs. GH Sustainability A/S has the pleasure to state work with with the Government of the Republic of Kiribati, in cooperation with Sailing for Sustainability (Fiji), to prepare a Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) Implementation Roadmap, and an Investment Plan and Project Pipeline, which will strengthen Kiribati’s contribution to reducing GHG emissions and kick-start efforts to gain the support needed to achieve the needed change. This is a Pacific NDC Hub activity which is itself implemented through a partnership between Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Global Green Growth Institute, Pacific Community-SPC and SPREP with financial support from the Germany, United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australian Governments. This work is being delivered through the Global Green Growth Institute.
